Old World is a strategy/4X game created by a studio headed by a former Civilization dev, and the bones of Civ are definitely present here. It's also got a lot more character interaction than Civ, there's some Crusader Kings influence is here too.
The last thing I needed was to pick up another huge RPG. But Baldur's Gate 3 was on sale, and it never is, and I had some Steam credit, so what the hell. I wasn't sure if it was going to be my thing, because I'm not super into tactical RPGs, but I'm liking it so far.
Balatro is a poker roguelike. I've never been a fan of poker, but this game has gripped me. You start with a standard deck of cards, and score points by making poker hands. You have to score a certain number of points in a limited number of hands to win each round. It's quick and addicting.
Narrative driven third person shooter. I completed this one almost 10 years ago, and part of the story still sticks with me. I don't want to give away too many story details, but it goes places you wouldn't really expect and was pretty unique especially for a shooter game in 2012.
Soft Body is a neat little puzzle game with some bullet hell elements. Your objective is to move your character past each empty square to fill it in, while dodging projectiles and destroying enemies.
